Now that you’re ready to set up your listing, and to upload sales etc., allow us to offer some tips and tricks!

Be Thoughtful!

  • Our advertising guideline prohibit misleading and spam content.  Please be conscientious as to how many sales and coupons you upload at a time.  As a general rule, we would like no more than 1 or 2 sales at a time.  However, if your store has a large diverse product line, you may want to promote different categories of items!  The goal is to have an ‘online flyer’ that is exciting and attractive for the end user.

Be Smart!

  • We encourage you to use our website as a gateway to your own website!  On the sales/coupons you have the option to send people to different sites!  Perhaps this will be to your Facebook page, or perhaps to your ‘complete online flyer’!  Try your best to engage the consumer!

Be Efficient!

  • The Beck allows you to upload many sales and to PRE-SCHEDULE them!  So you can work once, and allow The Beck to work for you over and over and over!  If you need help uploading your first sale, check out our helpful videos!

Be Prudent!

  • How will you know that The Beck is working for your business?  Try running an ‘exclusively on The Beck’ sale!  Ex.  Mention this AD on your next purchase and save the HST!

Be Creative!

  • Today’s consumers are being inundated with advertisements and promotions from all sorts of businesses.  Think outside of the box to get consumers to come inside yours!  Ex. Never been in our store before!  You’re missing out on your FREE GIFT!

Be Aggressive!

  • If you’ve heard of the term ‘Lost Leader’ then you likely know something about how larger corporations are aggressively building their clientele.  It’s not all bad news!  Each business should have an idea of what the ‘lifetime value‘ of an average customer is.  When you have this number in mind, you can then decide what it would be worth to bring a new customer into your store!  Ex.  If you’ve determined that the lifetime value of one of your customers is say $10,000.  Then how much of that $10,000 would you be willing to sacrifice to get them in your door, and keep them there?  $100?  $500?  Take that number and incorporate it into aggressive sales!  Ex.  Spend $100 and receive $50 off your next purchase of $100 or more.
